Carly is a Singer/Singer-Songwriter from Glasgow Scotland. Her passion for music first took roots when she was a young lass, listening to her parents vinyl records as she was growing up.
That passion and love for music continues, as she develops her natural talent, and now writes her own songs.
Her influences are wide and many, not being restricted to any given genre, Carly appareciates Rock, Pop, Jazz, 50s Rock & Roll, Beatles, to Heavy / Inde Rock & Pop, Acoustic, Americana, Country and more and more...
Carly says "I have loved to sing since I was a wee girl, pretending to be in concerts with my sister or singing in my room. I watched Grease aged 7 years old and became transfixed, watching it repeatedly until I knew every song. Musicals became very important to me, as well as influences shaped by my parent’s favourite artists, including Duran Duran, Elvis and Greenday. My money growing up was saved and spent on cd’s which I would listen to until I knew them inside and out. I keep my cd’s as nostalgic memories and have more recently started buying records, after finding my Dad’s old collection.
Music is very important and memorable as I connect songs to memories, and I love going to gigs.
I find that I am inspired by singers that are soulful with the ability to allow you to experience an emotion, and I am drawn to melancholy and meaningful lyrics. My favourite artists and influences include Lana Del Rey, Elvis, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine and Hozier. I love bluesy soul music as well as indie or psychedelic rock and I am very drawn to emotive atmospheric songs..."
